In his letter informing Olszewski that he was selected, President Pettit wrote “It gives me great pleasure to inform you that you are one of the eight alumni chosen to receive the Indiana University of Pennsylvania distinguished alumni award this year. This is the highest honor accorded to our alumni, one that only 191 alumni out of more than 80,000 have received.”

“The Scholars” was created by Robert and released by Olszewski Studios to coincide with the opening of Robert’s 3rd museum retrospective and honors recognizing “Superior Scholarship”. “The Scholars” was a signed limited edition of 375 figurines of which 37 were Artist Proof Editions. The issue price for the 375 figurines was $185.00 each and the Artist Proofs were sold for $370.00 and sold only through Olszewski Studios.
